Affiliate Disclosure
In plain English: Whitetail Gear Shed participates in affiliate programs, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click a link on this site and buy something, we may earn a commission. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or not. This page is the longer, formal version of that statement, provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements (16 CFR Part 255).
How affiliate links work here
Some outbound links on this site — for example, "Check Price" buttons — are affiliate links. If you make a qualifying purchase after clicking one, the retailer pays us a percentage of the sale as a referral commission. Commissions never increase the price of an item, and clicking a link never obligates you to buy anything.
Amazon disclosure: Whitetail Gear Shed is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. Amazon, the Amazon logo, and the Amazon Supply logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated on Amazon and are subject to change.
How commissions affect our content
They don't affect our recommendations. Rankings and buying advice on this site are based on performance, durability, owner experience, and value for the money. We list genuine disadvantages for every product we recommend — including our top picks — and we regularly recommend buying less: a cheaper model, a previous year's version, or nothing at all until next season. No manufacturer, retailer, or affiliate program reviews, approves, or pays for placement in our guides.
Other relationships
From time to time we may receive products for evaluation. If a guide is based on a product that was provided to us, that fact will be stated in the guide itself, and it does not change our obligation to report the product's weaknesses.
